Stat. tit. 19, § 19-26","heading":"Election expenses - How paid - Commissioners' compensation","body":"All special election commissioners, selected and commissioned as\n\nprovided herein, shall receive as compensation for their services,\n\nthe sum of Three Dollars ($3.00) per day for each and every day\n\nnecessarily employed in the work connected with the holding of such\n\nelection, including the time spent in going to and returning from\n\nsaid county, and the actual and necessary traveling expenses, and\n\nfor maintenance in the performance of such duties. Such\n\ncommissioner shall prepare and file with the Governor a sworn\n\nitemized statement of time employed and expenses incurred, which\n\nsaid statement shall be by the Governor, forwarded to the county\n\nclerk of the county holding such election. The expenses connected\n\nwith the holding of any such special election, including the per\n\ndiem and expenses of all such special election commissioners, shall\n\nbe borne and paid for by the county out of any funds in the hands of\n\nthe county treasurer.
