Stat. tit. 19, § 19-34","heading":"County commissioners may settle differences","body":"It shall be the duty of the county commissioners of the counties\n\nbetween which a settlement should be made by virtue of any transfer\n\nto meet and determine the amount due from one county to the other,\n\nand if a majority of said commissioners agree upon an amount found\n\nto be due, the commissioners of the county found to be indebted to\n\nthe other county are hereby authorized and empowered to draw a\n\nwarrant on the general fund of their county in favor of the county\n\nentitled to the same for the amount so found due: Provided, that\n\neither county through its proper officers may within sixty days\n\nappeal from said finding to the district court of the county\n\nappealing: Provided, further, that if a majority of said boards of\n\ncounty commissioners should fail to agree upon an amount due from\n\none county to the other each of said boards of county commissioners\n\nshall file with the respective county clerks a report showing its\n\nfinding, and also the finding of the commissioners of the other\n\ncounty and the county claiming an indebtedness shall, within six\n\nmonths after the filing of said report with the county clerk,\n\ninstitute suit in the district court of any county in the district\n\nin which the debtor county is situated, to recover the amount to be\n\ndue by the board of county commissioners of said county.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0e3bb9c72e90b28d8537657d617b21118be7cfe61ce9a2af2717d9b946af701d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-339.9","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-340"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
