Stat. tit. 19, § 19-371","heading":"Authorization to contract for ambulance service -","body":"Liability insurance - Immunity - Pension benefits.\n\n(a) The board of county commissioners of any county may\n\ncontract for ambulance service with any city, town, county, person,\n\nfirm or corporation or combination of them under such terms and\n\nconditions as may be agreed upon between the parties. Such\n\ncontracts shall provide for the carrying of liability insurance in\n\nsuch amount as may be fixed and may provide for minimum standards of\n\nservice and equipment.\n\n(b) Cities, towns and counties engaged in ambulance or\n\nemergency service shall be agents of the State of Oklahoma, acting\n\nsolely and alone in a governmental capacity, and shall not be liable\n\nfor any act of commission, omission or negligence while so engaged.\n\n(c) Any employee of any city, town or county engaging in\n\nambulance or emergency service at any time or place shall be\n\nconsidered to be serving in regular line of duty and shall be\n\nentitled to all the benefits of any pension fund to which he might\n\notherwise be entitled.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"42c171d8e2df3dc53836e8c60abb54bae3b00ef2fcae8d64263cb7337fffe743","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-365","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-372"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
