When a petition is to be circulated in all or a portion of a\n\ncounty, on a question which if approved by the voters would require\n\nadditional taxes or assessments or a continuation of taxes or\n\nassessments, notice of circulation of the petition shall be filed\n\nwith the county clerk of the county prior to the petition being\n\ncirculated for signatures. The period of time for the gathering of\n\nsignatures shall begin on the day after such filing and shall not\n\nexceed one (1) year, unless otherwise provided by law. The\n\nprovisions of this section shall apply to all petitions to be\n\ncirculated in all or a portion of a county, if the provisions\n\nthereof would require additional taxes or assessments, including but\n\nnot limited to, those authorized by the following provisions of law:\n\n1. Section 782 of Title 19 of the Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n2. Section 872 of Title 19 of the Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n3. Section 901.2 of Title 19 of the Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n4. Section 902.2 of Title 19 of the Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n5. Section 1204 of Title 19 of the Oklahoma Statutes; and\n\n6. Section 1236 of Title 19 of the Oklahoma Statutes.\n\nB. When any petition is to be circulated in all or a portion of\n\na county, each page of the petition shall contain a notice\n\nprominently displayed at the top in at least twelve-point type which\n\nreads “THIS IS A PETITION”. The first page of the petition shall\n\ncontain a summary of the contents of the petition, which shall be\n\nmade available to any person who is or may be eligible to sign the\n\npetition.\n\nC. If the question submitted to voters based upon an election\n\nconducted pursuant to a circulated petition does not receive\n\napproval, a subsequent petition regarding the same question may be\n\ncirculated beginning on the thirtieth day following the election\n\ndate at which the question did not receive approval.\n\nD.
