Stat. tit. 19, § 19-401","heading":"Rental of quarters - Attendants, fuel, light and","body":"stationery.\n\nIn any county where there is no courthouse or jail erected by\n\nthe county, or where those erected have not sufficient capacity, it\n\nshall be the duty of the board of county commissioners to provide\n\nfor court room, jail, and offices for the following named officers:\n\nsheriff, treasurer, register of deeds, district clerk, county clerk,\n\ndistrict attorney, superintendent of public schools and judge of the\n\ndistrict court, to be furnished by the county in a suitable building\n\nor buildings, for the lowest rent to be obtained at the county seat,\n\nor to secure and occupy suitable rooms at a free rent within the\n\nlimits of the county seat or any of the additions thereto, until\n\nsuch county builds a courthouse. They shall also provide the courts\n\nappointed to be held therein, with attendants, fuel, lights and\n\nstationery, suitable and sufficient for the transaction of their\n\nbusiness.
