Stat. tit. 19, § 19-528","heading":"Authority to employ attorney","body":"Upon the recommendation of the Attorney General, the sheriff of\n\nany county shall have the authority to employ an attorney to\n\nrepresent the sheriff and the office of the sheriff in the\n\nperformance of the official duties of that office. The authority to\n\nemploy an attorney shall be limited to those situations or cases\n\nwhere the district attorney of the same county as the sheriff has\n\nbeen disqualified or removed from the case.
