Stat. tit. 19, § 19-761","heading":"Insurance proceeds - Use to restore building or records","body":"In all counties of the State of Oklahoma where the courthouse,\n\nor any part thereof, or the records of the county, or any part\n\nthereof, have been destroyed by fire, lightning, windstorm, or by\n\nany act of God, the board of county commissioners of such county\n\nshall have power and authority to use any insurance money, or money\n\ncollected by them from insurance on said property, or any money in\n\nthe treasury to the credit of such county in the courthouse fund, or\n\nany part thereof, to restore, rebuild, and make anew any such\n\ncourthouse, or part thereof, or the records of the county, or any\n\npart thereof, and when such insurance money has been collected, said\n\nboard of county commissioners shall have power and authority to pay\n\nout of such moneys and funds the cost of the restoration of such\n\nproperty or part thereof by warrants drawn and issued upon the\n\nfiling and allowance of verified claims as now provided and required\n\nby law, or without notice or bid when in the judgment of the board\n\nof county commissioners said courthouse can be built, equipped and\n\nsupplies can be bought at a lower and better price.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e4d9d2bdcc0ec06b8424ce5e5e9a3719fc734402784dadeebe06abc27236cc80","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-76","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-762"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
