Stat. tit. 19, § 19-80","heading":"Assignments - Duties of - Vacancies","body":"In selecting and commissioning said special election\n\ncommissioners, the governor shall assign each said commissioner to a\n\nparticular voting precinct, or voting place in said county,\n\nproposing to hold such special election; and for the purpose of said\n\nspecial election the said commissioner so selected, shall perform\n\nthe duties of an inspector of election in such precinct or voting\n\nplace so assigned, as provided by the general election laws when not\n\nin conflict with the provisions of this article. It shall be the\n\nduty of each such special election commissioner to present himself\n\nto the special county election board at the office of the county\n\nclerk at the present county seat of such county not later than ten\n\no'clock a.m., of the second day next preceding the date set for the\n\nholding of such special election where he shall receive from said\n\nboard, and receipt therefor, the ballots, ballot boxes, poll books,\n\ntally sheets, stamps, pen, ink, pencils and other material necessary\n\nfor the proper holding of such election, and shall safely convey\n\nsuch material so received to the precinct or voting place assigned\n\nso that the polls may be duly and promptly opened on the day set for\n\nthe holding of said special election: Provided, that the words\n\n\"ballot\" or \"ballots\" as used in this article, shall be construed to\n\nmean the same as the words \"ticket\" or \"tickets\" as used in the\n\nConstitution of the state with reference to elections for the\n\nremoval or change of county seats.
