Stat. tit. 19, § 19-863.17","heading":"Amendment or repeal of regulations - Hearing and","body":"notice.\n\nThe zoning regulations imposed and the districts created under\n\nauthority of this act may be amended, supplemented, changed,\n\nmodified or repealed from time to time by resolution of the board as\n\nit affects its jurisdiction, but no such change shall be made\n\nwithout public notice and hearing and the filing of a report and\n\nrecommendations upon such proposed change by the commission. In\n\ncase of written protest against any proposed change, signed by the\n\nowners of twenty percent (20%) or more of the area of land in such\n\nproposed change, or by the owners of twenty percent (20%) or more of\n\nthe frontage within one thousand feet (1000') to the right or left\n\nof the frontage proposed to be changed, or by the owners of twenty\n\npercent (20%) or more of the frontage directly opposite the frontage\n\nproposed to be changed, or in cases where the land affected lies\n\nwithin one and one-half (1 1/2) miles of the limits of a\n\nmunicipality having a zoning ordinance, by the governing body of\n\nsuch municipality filed with the commission, such amendment or\n\nchange may not be made except by the unanimous favorable vote of all\n\nmembers of the board.\n\nAll projects or matters that fall within the purview of the\n\nduties of the commission, as specified in this section shall be\n\nreferred to the commission for investigation and report before any\n\nfinal action shall be taken thereon; provided, however, that if said\n\ncommission fails to make an investigation and report on any matter\n\nor subject referred to it for a period of thirty (30) days, such\n\nfailure shall be considered a refusal to approve the proposed plan\n\nor project and the board shall be under no obligation to wait longer\n\nfor reports or recommendations concerning said projects.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"3598355df736699968b3584eed6753e3ca8029f944eeb39eae6e412fb9d6c2c4","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-863.16","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-863.18"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
