Stat. tit. 19, § 19-863.3","heading":"Discontinuance of existing commission - Establishment of","body":"new commission - Procedure.\n\nThe board of county commissioners of any such county desiring to\n\navail itself of the provisions of this act, shall at any time,\n\ndiscontinue any existing county planning commission and remove the\n\nentire membership thereof and set up a metropolitan area planning\n\ncommission in the following manner:\n\n(a) By resolution of the board of county commissioners, entered\n\nin the commissioners' journal of proceedings, setting forth its\n\nintention to avail itself of the provisions of this act and to enter\n\ninto an agreement with the municipality for the organization of the\n\nmetropolitan area planning commission herein provided for and upon\n\nsuch terms and conditions as may be agreed upon.\n\n(b) Such resolution shall not become effective until such\n\nagreement has been entered into and until the municipality has by\n\nproper ordinance provided for the dissolution and discontinuance of\n\nits city planning commission.\n\n(c) After such agreement has been entered into a copy thereof,\n\ntogether with a copy of said resolution, shall be served upon the\n\ncounty planning commission by delivering same to the chairman of the\n\nrespective commissions, whereupon the terms of office of the members\n\nof such county and city planning commissions shall expire and the\n\ntenure of their respective director and technical staff shall cease.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f4dafb15e3471ea7a71caf046b1b4d374633bee43b67a596d08cbc156e3b840e","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-863.29","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-863.30"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
