Stat. tit. 19, § 19-863.30","heading":"County electrical code - Definitions","body":"For the purpose of that portion of this act relating to a county\n\nelectrical code in any affected county the following words shall\n\nhave the following meanings:\n\na. Joint electrical examining and appeal board shall be held to\n\nmean the joint city-county electrical examining and appeal board\n\nhereinafter referred to.\n\nb. \"Electrical inspector\" shall be held to mean and include the\n\nelectrical inspector of any county within the terms of this act, or\n\nany of his duly authorized assistants.\n\nc. \"Class A electrical contractor\" shall be held to mean any\n\nperson, firm or corporation engaged in the business of wiring,\n\nrewiring, installing, repairing or altering any electrical wiring,\n\nor installing or repairing any apparatus or electrical appliances in\n\nany city or county within the terms of this act, and shall not\n\ninclude persons, firms or corporations engaged in the business of\n\nselling or offering for sale to the public, electrical materials,\n\napparatus and electrical appliances that are not installed by such\n\npersons, firm or corporation.\n\nd. \"Class B electrical contractor\" shall be held to mean any\n\nperson, firm or corporation engaged in the business of wiring,\n\nrewiring, installing, repairing or altering any electrical wiring or\n\ninstalling or repairing any apparatus or electrical appliances in\n\nany single-family residence building within any city or county\n\nwithin the terms of this act.\n\ne. \"Class A journeyman electrician\" shall be held to mean any\n\nperson actually engaged in the work of wiring, or installing or\n\nrepairing any electrical apparatus or electrical appliances in any\n\ncity or county within the terms of this act.\n\nf. \"Class B journeyman electrician\" shall be held to mean any\n\nperson actually engaged in the wiring or installing or repairing of\n\nany electrical apparatus or electrical appliances within any\n\nbuilding constructed for, and designated to be used as, a single-\n\nfamily residence in any city or county within the terms of this act.\n\ng. \"Maintenance serviceman\" shall be held to mean any person\n\nengaged only in the work of operating the electrical installations\n\nin any building or buildings or factory and/or the maintenance of\n\nsuch electrical equipment in a state of good repair.\n\nh. \"Electrical appliance repairman\" shall be held to mean any\n\nperson engaged only in the business of work of repairing electrical\n\nappliances.\n\ni. \"Electrical sign contractor\" shall be held to mean any\n\nperson, firm or corporation engaged in the business of\n\nmanufacturing, assembling, wiring, rewiring, installing, erecting,\n\nrepairing or altering interior or exterior electric signs, who does\n\nnot himself perform any of the actual work aforementioned.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"bcb2959ffd2233eb94f496fb7e31cc6fdfdcd25537606823f3fd0f4de9bbc192","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-863.3","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-863.31"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
