Stat. tit. 19, § 19-863.37","heading":"Necessity for license - Applications - Contents -","body":"Violations.\n\nNo person, firm or corporation shall engage in the business of\n\nwiring, rewiring, installing, repairing or altering any electrical\n\nwiring, or installing or repairing any electrical apparatus,\n\nappliances or fixtures of any kind or description, as an electrical\n\ncontractor within the limits of any city or county within the\n\nprovisions of this act without securing from the joint electrical\n\nexamining and appeal board herein created, a license. Said\n\napplicant shall file with the electrical inspector, an application\n\nshowing the name of the person, firm or corporation in whose name it\n\nis desired that the license be issued, the kind of license applied\n\nfor, the name of the certificate holder, the number and date of such\n\ncertificate, and such further and other information as may be\n\nrequired by the electrical inspector. Said application shall be\n\nsigned by the applicant, or a member of the firm, or an authorized\n\nofficer of the corporation making the application and shall also be\n\nsigned by the holder of the certificate and shall be attached to the\n\napplication. The electrical inspector, if said application is\n\ncorrect, shall approve said application and retain for his file, the\n\ncertificate of the joint electrical examining and appeal board, upon\n\nfurnishing the applicant with a proper receipt therefor; if such\n\ncertificate is withdrawn by the owner thereof, said license shall\n\nbecome inoperative and no further permits shall be issued by the\n\nelectrical inspector under such license. Such license may be\n\nreinstated and rendered operative by the filing with the electrical\n\ninspector, of another proper certificate of the joint electrical\n\nexamining and appeal board.\n\nViolation of any of the provisions of this act shall constitute\n\na misdemeanor and shall be punished as provided by a maximum fine of\n\nOne Hundred Dollars ($100.00) upon conviction thereof.
