Stat. tit. 19, § 19-863.39","heading":"Standards of safety","body":"All electrical wiring, materials, equipment and the methods of\n\ninstallation thereof in every county, subject to the provisions of\n\nthis act, shall be in strict conformity with approved standards for\n\nsafety to persons and property. Compliance with the electrical code\n\nas said code exists at the date of the passage of this act, of any\n\ncity having a population of from one hundred and eighty thousand\n\n(180,000) to two hundred and forty thousand (240,000) according to\n\nthe last Federal Decennial Census or any future Federal Decennial\n\nCensus located in any county as defined herein, shall be deemed to\n\nprima facie evidence of compliance with this act.\n\nWhen the electrical code of any such city, as defined in this\n\nsection, contains no specific standards as to the manner of\n\nelectrical wiring, materials, equipment and the methods of\n\ninstallation thereof, compliance with the statutes of this state\n\npertaining to the installation of electrical materials and equipment\n\nand conformity with the regulations set forth in the current\n\nNational Electrical Code, in effect at the date of the passage of\n\nthis act, being the standard of the National Board of Fire\n\nUnderwriters for electrical wiring and apparatus as recommended by\n\nthe National Fire Protection Association and approved by the\n\nAmerican Standards Association, shall be prima facie evidence of\n\nconformity with approved standards for safety to persons and\n\nproperty and of compliance with this act.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"83ff3b31d500f50ddc59c562959a7130f96cb387d3f6ede7bbd8990f8c176d21","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-863.38","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-863.4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
