Stat. tit. 19, § 19-864.5","heading":"Examination fees - Renewals","body":"The fee for the examination and issuance of the initial\n\ncertificate of competency shall be Twenty Dollars ($20.00) for a\n\nClass A electrical contractor, Class B electrical contractor,\n\nappliance repair shop, electrical sign contractor or motor shop, and\n\nTen Dollars ($10.00) for each of the following: Class A journeyman\n\nelectrician, Class B journeyman electrician, electrical appliance\n\nrepairman, journeyman sign electrician.\n\nSuch fees shall be paid to the joint electrical examining and\n\nappeals board for the use and benefit of the city and/or county on\n\nsuch terms and conditions as they may provide and the articles of\n\nagreement referred to herein. Such fees shall be paid before any\n\napplicant will be permitted to take any examination. When good\n\ncause is shown the fees provided by this section may be increased or\n\ndecreased from time to time by mutual agreement of the city and\n\ncounty.\n\nThe certificate of competency provided herein, once issued,\n\nshall be subject to renewal without further examination on an annual\n\nbasis upon payment of the renewal fee to said joint board in the\n\namount of Ten Dollars ($10.00) for a Class A electrical contractor,\n\nClass B electrical contractor, appliance repair shop, electrical\n\nsign contractor or motor shop, and Five Dollars ($5.00) for each of\n\nthe following: Class A journeyman electrician, Class B journeyman\n\nelectrician, electrical appliance repairman, journeyman sign\n\nelectrician. If the renewal fee is not paid the certificate and all\n\nrights thereunder shall expire upon the conclusion of term of\n\nissuance. The period of issuance shall not exceed one year. An\n\nexpired certificate shall be reinstated within one year from the\n\ndate of expiration thereof without further examination upon\n\napplication therefor and payment of the renewal fee; provided\n\nfurther, that any such holder of a certificate of competency must\n\nqualify by examination as provided herein before reissuance of any\n\nsuch certificate which has been allowed to lapse or expire for a\n\nperiod of more than one year.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"707344f4623abf1a4828f4e05e8da74cb26686bb1a57a28ca7434e26ef910df2","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-864.4","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-864.6"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
