Stat. tit. 19, § 19-864.8","heading":"Bond","body":"Any person desiring an electrical license of any kind, as above\n\nprovided, shall make and file with the city auditor or clerk of the\n\naffected city or the county clerk of the county as herein defined, a\n\ngood and sufficient bond executed by a surety company authorized to\n\ntransact business in the State of Oklahoma and engage himself\n\nthereon in the amount set forth, to wit:\n\na. Class A electrical contractor, the amount of the bond shall\n\nbe Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00).\n\nb. Class B electrical contractor, the amount of the bond shall\n\nbe Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00).\n\nc. Motor shops, the amount of the bond shall be One Thousand\n\nDollars ($1,000.00).\n\nd. Electrical sign contractor, the amount of the bond shall be\n\nFive Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00).\n\ne. Electrical appliance repair, the amount of the bond shall be\n\nOne Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00).\n\nSaid bond shall guarantee the performance on the part of the\n\nprincipal of all work in strict accord with requirements of this\n\nact, the payment of fees or other charges due to the city, county or\n\nmetropolitan area, the replacing of all faulty or defective\n\nmaterials or workmanship installed by principal, or by some person\n\nfor or on behalf of said principal, when notified to do so by the\n\nelectrical inspector of said city, county or metropolitan area and\n\nsaid bond shall be further conditioned that, in the event the\n\nprincipal does not perform and discharge all duties and obligations\n\nresting upon him, he shall be liable in the first instance and suit\n\nmay be brought directly upon said bond jointly and/or severally with\n\nsaid surety company by any person injured or damaged as a result of\n\nsuch principal's failure to comply with the provisions and\n\nrequirements of the ordinance relating to such work.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"6f42c6daffa996f89869ba8e39bd0da67ae389c9542173648ef51ea637ffe2d9","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-864.7","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-864.9"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
