Stat. tit. 19, § 19-865.51","heading":"County planning commission and county board of","body":"adjustment authorized.\n\nFor the purpose of cooperating with the State of Oklahoma in\n\nconserving the natural resources of the state, and in promoting the\n\nhealth, safety, peace and general welfare of the people of the\n\nstate, there may be provided in any county of the State of Oklahoma\n\ncounty planning in the manner herein provided, and for that purpose\n\nthere is hereby authorized to be created in each of such counties a\n\ncounty planning commission and a county board of adjustment with the\n\nrespective powers and duties as set out in this act. In no county\n\nshall there be at the same time a county planning commission\n\nestablished pursuant to this section and a metropolitan area\n\nplanning commission established pursuant to Section 866.1 of Title\n\n19 and Section 863.2 of Title 19 of the Oklahoma Statutes. Provided\n\nthat county commissioners may by proper resolution confer authority\n\nto any metropolitan area planning commission located in such county\n\nfor the purposes of planning for unincorporated areas existing in\n\ncounty.
