Stat. tit. 19, § 19-865.58","heading":"Adoption and amendment of plan - Notice and hearing -","body":"Public record.\n\nThe commission may adopt the plan or plans, in whole or part,\n\nand subsequently amend or extend the adoption plan or portions\n\nthereof. Before the adoption, amendment, or extension of the plan\n\nor portions thereof, the commission shall hold at least one public\n\nhearing thereon. Such hearing may be adjourned from time to time.\n\nPrior to said hearing or hearings, the commission shall give\n\nreasonable notice in all papers of general circulation in the\n\ncounty, stating time, place and purpose of the hearing, and stating\n\nwhere copies of the proposed plan or plans may be acquired. The\n\nadoption of the plan or portions thereof shall be by resolution\n\ncarried by not less than four (4) members of the commission,\n\nincluding the ex officio member thereof. Before such plan or plans\n\nor parts thereof shall have the status of an official plan, it shall\n\nbe submitted to and shall have the approval of the board of county\n\ncommissioners. The board may approve the plan in whole or in part,\n\nor return the plan or any portion thereof to the commission for\n\nfurther consideration. Any part so approved shall immediately\n\nbecome in full force and effect and as to the area covered by the\n\napproved portion of such plan. Should the board fail to act upon\n\nsuch plan within forty-five (45) days from the date of its\n\nsubmission by the commission, such plan shall be deemed to be\n\napproved by said board and shall have the status of an official plan\n\nor plans for the area.
