Stat. tit. 19, § 19-865.63","heading":"Appeals to county board of adjustment","body":"\n\nAppeals to the county board of adjustment may be taken by any\n\nperson aggrieved or by a public officer, department, board or bureau\n\naffected by any decision of the county inspecting officer in\n\nadministering the commission's rules and regulations. Such appeals\n\nshall be taken within a period of not more than ten (10) days, by\n\nfiling written notice with the county board of adjustment and the\n\ncounty inspecting officer, stating the grounds thereof. An appeal\n\nfrom the county board of adjustment shall stay all proceedings in\n\nfurtherance of the action appealed from unless the officer from whom\n\nthe appeal is taken shall certify to the board of adjustment that by\n\nreason of facts stated in the certificate a stay would, in his\n\nopinion, cause imminent peril to life or property. The county board\n\nof adjustment shall have the following powers and it shall be its\n\nduty:\n\nTo hear and decide appeals where it is alleged that there is\n\nerror of law in any order, requirement, decision or determination\n\nmade by the county inspecting officer in the enforcement of the\n\ncommission's rules and regulations.\n\nIn exercising the above powers, such board of adjustment may, in\n\nconformity with the provisions of this act, reverse or affirm wholly\n\nor partly, or may modify the order, requirement, decision or\n\ndetermination as ought to be made, and to that end shall have all\n\nthe powers of the officer from whom the appeal is taken.\n\nIn acting upon any appeal, such board of adjustment shall, in\n\nits consideration of and decision thereon, apply the principles,\n\nstandards and objectives set forth and contained in all applicable\n\nregulations and plans as adopted.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"a881aa6d85170270ef541f0643ff58d5b6894a9d9569b3612592aef5cd1920c2","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-865.62","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-865.64"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
