Stat. tit. 19, § 19-866.14","heading":"Building lines","body":"Wherever a plan for major streets and highways has been adopted\n\nand filed by the commission, the council and board, upon\n\nrecommendations of the commission, are hereby authorized and\n\nempowered to establish, regulate, and limit, and to change and\n\namend, building line or setback regulations on such major streets\n\nand highways, and to prohibit any new building being located within\n\nsuch building or setback lines within the area. In establishing\n\nsuch building lines, the council and board shall take into\n\nconsideration the present stage of development along such highways,\n\nincluding the type of buildings and nature of their use, as well as\n\ntheir number and location; the present width of such highways; and\n\nprobable future needs to protect safety and provide adequate\n\ntransportation along such highways in view of the trend of\n\ndevelopment of residential, commercial, and industrial areas served\n\nby such highways.\n\nRegulations authorized by this section shall not be adopted,\n\nchanged, or amended by the council or board until a public hearing\n\nhas been held thereon by the commission.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"af3399a30d97e698b7bcaacbc1f09cc640efc9405c06e543f8f7201e2065dc54","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-866.13","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-866.15"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
