Stat. tit. 19, § 19-866.17","heading":"Division into districts or zones","body":"Whenever the commission of such county shall make and certify to\n\nthe board of county commissioners of such county a zoning plan,\n\nincluding both the full text of the zoning resolution and proposed\n\nregulations and map or maps, representing the recommendations of the\n\ncommission for the regulation by districts or zones, of the\n\nlocation, height, bulk, number of stories and size of buildings and\n\nother structures in the areas of the county, not included within the\n\nterritorial jurisdiction of the municipality as herein defined, and\n\nthe percentage of the lot or area which may be occupied, the size of\n\nyards, courts, and other open spaces, the density and distribution\n\nof population, the uses of buildings, structures, and land for\n\ntrade, industry, residence, recreation, civic, and public activities\n\nand other purposes, then the board may exercise the powers granted\n\nand, for the purposes mentioned in 19 O.S. 1961, Section 866.16, may\n\ndivide the areas of such county located within three miles of such\n\nmunicipality or within one-fourth mile of a state or federal\n\nhighway, and not included within the territorial jurisdiction of the\n\nmunicipality or within another incorporated municipality, into\n\ndistricts or zones in such number, shape, and areas as it may\n\ndetermine and, for said purposes, may regulate the erection,\n\nconstruction, reconstruction, conversion, alteration, and uses of\n\nbuildings and structures and the uses of land. All such regulations\n\nshall be uniform for each class or kind of buildings throughout each\n\ndistrict, but the regulations in one district may differ from those\n\nin other districts. In every county of this state having an\n\nupstream terminal port and turnaround where navigation ends, or in\n\nany county containing all or any part of a reservoir or reservoirs\n\nconstructed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, such\n\ncounty is hereby granted authority, at the discretion of the board\n\nof county commissioners, to divide all or any part of unincorporated\n\nareas of such county into districts or zones in such number, shape,\n\nand areas as it may determine and, for said purposes, may regulate\n\nthe erection, construction, reconstruction, conversion, alteration,\n\nand uses of buildings and structures and the uses of land.
