Stat. tit. 19, § 19-866.7","heading":"Commission membership - Appointment and tenure -","body":"Compensation - Vacancies - Removal.\n\nThe commission shall consist of the following members: four (4)\n\nmembers appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the council; four\n\n(4) members appointed by the board of county commissioners which\n\nmembers shall not be residents of any incorporated city or town; and\n\none (1) member appointed by each incorporated city or town within\n\nthe jurisdiction of the commission. The mayor, or a member of the\n\ngoverning body of the city appointed by the mayor, and chairman of\n\nthe board of county commissioners, or a member of the board of\n\ncounty commissioners appointed by the chairman, shall be ex officio\n\nmembers of the commission. Members appointed by the mayor shall\n\nserve for a term of four (4) years except that the respective terms\n\nof the first two appointed shall be for a term of two (2) years and\n\nthe next two appointed shall be for a term of four (4) years.\n\nMembers appointed by the board shall serve a term of four (4) years\n\nexcept that the respective terms of the first two appointed shall be\n\nfor a term of two (2) years and the next two appointed shall be for\n\na term of four (4) years. Members appointed by an incorporated city\n\nor town shall serve at the pleasure of the appointing city or town.\n\nAll members of the commission shall serve as such without\n\ncompensation. The appointed members shall be residents for a period\n\nof three (3) years or more immediately preceding appointment and\n\nshall hold no other municipal or county office.
