Stat. tit. 19, § 19-868.15","heading":"Procedure for adoption of zoning regulations","body":"\n\nPrior to the adoption of any zoning regulations, the board of\n\ncounty commissioners shall request the county planning commission to\n\nrecommend the boundaries of the various districts and appropriate\n\nregulations to be enforced therein. The county planning commission\n\nshall make a preliminary report of its recommendations for such\n\nzoning regulations and shall hold a public hearing thereon for each\n\ntownship to be affected by the proposed regulations. Such hearings\n\nmay be adjourned from time to time. Within ninety (90) days after\n\nthe final adjournment of such hearings the county planning\n\ncommission shall make its final report together with its proposed\n\nzoning regulations and a summary of the results of the public\n\nhearings to the board of county commissioners. The board of county\n\ncommissioners may then adopt the proposed regulation or refer it\n\nback to the county planning commission for further consideration.\n\nIf a written protest against the proposed zoning of any land lying\n\nwithin one and one-half (1 1/2) miles of the limits of any\n\nmunicipality having a zoning ordinance is received from the\n\ngoverning body thereof, the board of county commissioners shall not\n\nadopt the proposed zoning regulations of such land except by a\n\nrecord vote of all members and after a statement of the reasons for\n\nsuch action shall be spread upon its minutes or records.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"4ae1e8810ab48f02fd17aa625443a572cfcef5a9e957d57dec0c561fa9cbdb6f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-868.14","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-868.16"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
