Stat. tit. 19, § 19-868.6","heading":"Master plan","body":"The county planning commission shall make, adopt and may publish\n\nan official master plan of the county for the purpose of bringing\n\nabout coordinated physical development in accordance with the\n\npresent and future needs of the county. The master plan shall be\n\ndeveloped so as to conserve the natural resources of the county, to\n\ninsure efficient expenditure of public funds, and to promote the\n\nhealth, safety, convenience, prosperity and general welfare of the\n\ninhabitants. Such master plan may include, among other things,\n\nstudies and recommendations relative to the location, character and\n\nextent of highways, railroads, bus, street car and other\n\ntransportation routes, bridges, public buildings, schools, parks,\n\nparkways, airports, forests, wildlife refuges, dams and projects\n\naffecting conservation of natural resources. The master plan shall\n\nnot limit the construction, maintenance or operation of public\n\nservice facilities outside of the riding surface of county roads,\n\nstreets, highways or section lines of companies regulated by the\n\nOklahoma Corporation Commission, nor shall such master plan apply to\n\nor limit construction of telephone exchange buildings. The\n\ncommission may adopt the master plan in whole or in part and\n\nsubsequently amend or extend the adopted plan or portion thereof.\n\nBefore the adoption, amendment or extension of the plan or portion\n\nthereof the commission shall hold at least one public hearing\n\nthereon. Such hearing may be adjourned from time to time. The\n\nadoption of the plan, or part thereof, shall be by resolution\n\ncarried by not less than a majority vote of the full membership of\n\nthe commission.
