Stat. tit. 19, § 19-868.9","heading":"Building law regulations","body":"Whenever a plan for major highways has been adopted and filed by\n\nthe county planning commission, the board of county commissioners,\n\nupon recommendation of the county planning commission, is hereby\n\nauthorized and empowered to establish, regulate and limit, and to\n\nchange and amend, building or set-back regulations on such major\n\nhighways, and to prohibit any new building's being located within\n\nsuch building or set-back lines outside the corporate limits of any\n\ncity or town. In establishing such building line, the board of\n\ncounty commissioners shall take into consideration the present stage\n\nof development along such highways, including the type of buildings\n\nand nature of their use, as well as their number and location, the\n\npresent width of such highways and type of construction, the amount\n\nof traffic using such highways, and probable future needs to protect\n\nsafety and provide adequate transportation along such highways in\n\nview of the trend of development of residential, commercial and\n\nindustrial areas served by such highways.\n\nRegulations authorized by this section shall not be adopted,\n\nchanged or amended by the board of county commissioners until a\n\npublic hearing has been held thereon by the county planning\n\ncommission.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b0ad1d2f5bc2eb97bdb25413d9fc4ca016bb08ca588b4053fc97c2513410d372","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-868.8","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-869.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
