Stat. tit. 19, § 19-880","heading":"Subdistrict sewers - Petition - Profiles, plans and","body":"specifications - Contracts.\n\nWhenever such district sewer or sewers shall have been\n\nauthorized, the said board of directors shall then proceed to employ\n\na registered professional engineer licensed in the State of\n\nOklahoma, and cause to be prepared profiles, plans and\n\nspecifications for the work, together with a complete estimate of\n\nthe cost. Upon the completion of such plans and specifications and\n\ntheir adoption by the said board of directors, they shall advertise\n\nfor sealed bids for the performance of such work for at least ten\n\n(10) days, if published in a daily newspaper, or at least two (2)\n\nsuccessive weeks if published in a weekly newspaper. In either\n\ncase, such newspaper must be one of general circulation within the\n\ndistrict and such notice may contain any reasonable conditions to be\n\nimposed by said board of directors with reference to the letting of\n\nsuch contracts and shall require the giving of a good and sufficient\n\nbond for the faithful execution of work and the performance of the\n\ncontract and for the protection of the district and all property\n\nowners against any loss or damage by the negligent execution of such\n\nwork. Such notice shall also advise all parties interested that\n\nthey may appear and protest against such proposed improvement or any\n\npart thereof. At the time and place specified in the notice the\n\nboard of directors shall award the contract to the lowest and best\n\nbidder for the work, which contract shall in no case exceed the\n\naggregate estimate of cost submitted with the plans and\n\nspecifications and shall be subject to the right of the board of\n\ndirectors to reject any and all bids and to readvertise for other\n\nbids, when none of the same is, in their judgment, satisfactory.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"306f75c57ad0d002701a65f3a3377065f3886283e74af35a9d30a23add071e27","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-88","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-881"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
