Stat. tit. 19, § 19-898.2","heading":"Request for consolidation - Election - Terms -","body":"Ordinance.\n\nThe board of directors of any county sewer improvement district,\n\nor the resident citizens liable to pay a majority of the taxes\n\nassessed, as shown by the last preceding tax roll of the county, on\n\nreal property situated within the boundaries of such county sewer\n\nimprovement district, may ask of the city council or other governing\n\nboard of any adjacent city, or the board of trustees of any adjacent\n\ntown, for a consolidation, setting forth the terms of such\n\nconsolidation which shall include assumption by the district\n\nproperty of the legal bonded indebtedness of the city or town and\n\nthe assumption by the city or town of the legal public sewer bonded\n\ndebt of the district. It shall be lawful for the said city council\n\nor other governing board of the city or board of trustees of the\n\ntown so addressed (after first requesting the board of directors of\n\nthe county sewer improvement district and it does submit the\n\nquestion of such consolidation and the terms and conditions thereof\n\nincluding assumption of each other's legal bonded debt, to a vote of\n\nthe qualified voters of the county sewer improvement district\n\naffected and a majority thereof having voted in favor of such\n\nconsolidation) by ordinance to consolidate such adjacent county\n\nsewer improvement district upon the terms and conditions so\n\nsubmitted.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"e9f0425f1831c47f20edfe50029d7a8d25d8c6ffd7050f04f2b6207531094e4d","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-898.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-898.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
