Stat. tit. 19, § 19-901.24","heading":"Dissolution of district","body":"In the event of the dissolution of a district, the board of\n\ndirectors of the district shall be trustees for the disposition of\n\nthe property and the proceeds of the disposition of such property\n\nand all funds remaining on hand shall be deposited with the county\n\ntreasurer who shall thereupon succeed to the powers and duties of\n\nthe district treasurer and who shall annually collect from all of\n\nthe property which shall have been in the district at the time of\n\nthe authorization of any bond, an annual assessment sufficient to\n\npay the interest and amount necessary to retire such outstanding\n\nbonds as the same may become due. Such annual assessment shall be\n\nbased upon the district appraisal record at the time of dissolution.\n\nWhen all of the property of the district has been disposed of and\n\nthe funds of the district deposited with the county treasurer, the\n\npowers and functions of the district board, as trustees for\n\ndissolution, shall cease and the board of county commissioners of\n\nthe county in which such district is located shall succeed to all of\n\nthe powers and duties of the district insofar as it shall be\n\nnecessary for them to wind up and conclude the affairs of the\n\ndistrict.","path":["OK Code","Title 19"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os19.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b57b617faf6bcfa43bded2d765927eb201b520cffc9e8160cd3ef599259159d5","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-901.23a","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-19-19-901.25"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
