Any city or town located in the same county as any fire\n\nprotection district may contract, for one (1) year or more, for fire\n\nprotection service by the district throughout or within part of the\n\narea of the city or town. During the term of the contract, without\n\ncurtailing the rights, powers and duties of the city, the area\n\ncovered by the contract may in accordance with express terms of the\n\ncontract be construed as part of the district territory for all fire\n\nprotection purposes under this act.\n\nB. Owners or occupants of property in the vicinity of the\n\ndistrict not included within the territory of any city or town or\n\nother fire protection district, and such district may contract, for\n\none (1) year or more, for fire protection service by the district\n\nfor the property described in the contract, which such contract\n\nshall provide for a fixed annual payment of an agreed amount by the\n\nowner or occupant of the property to the district to be paid\n\nannually in advance at the date of the making of such contract, and\n\non the even date thereof for each subsequent year covered by the\n\ncontract.\n\nC. The contract shall be in writing and shall be set forth in\n\nfull in the minutes of the respective governing bodies of the\n\ncontracting parties and a duplicate original shall be filed with the\n\nrecords of the district in the office of the county clerk.\n\nD.
