The directors of the Authority so created shall consist of\n\nfive (5) members and include the chairperson of the board of county\n\ncommissioners, the county sheriff, one member appointed by the\n\npresiding district court judge, one member appointed by the board of\n\ncounty commissioners, and one member appointed by the county\n\nsheriff. The appointed members shall be residents of the county and\n\nshall not be elected officials.\n\nB. The county sheriff shall serve as chairperson of the board\n\nof directors. The board of directors of the Authority shall appoint\n\na clerk and a treasurer. The board of directors shall fix the term\n\nand duties of the clerk and treasurer. The chairperson and members\n\nof the board shall serve without compensation.
