Any regional jail district created pursuant to Section 3 of\n\nthis act shall be governed by a commission. The regional jail\n\ncommission shall be composed of the sheriff and presiding county\n\ncommissioner from each county within the district. Each regional\n\njail commissioner of the regional jail district shall serve during\n\nhis or her tenure as sheriff or as presiding county commissioner.\n\nB. Commissioners of the regional jail district shall serve\n\nuntil successors have been duly appointed. Vacancies on the\n\nregional jail commission shall be filled by the succeeding sheriff\n\nor presiding county commissioner for the remainder of the term.\n\nC.
