Stat. tit. 2, § 2-10-71","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this subarticle:\n\n1. “Ambient temperature” means the atmospheric temperature\n\nsurrounding or encircling shell eggs;\n\n2. “Case” means thirty (30) dozen eggs or any container\n\ndesigned to hold thirty (30) dozen eggs;\n\n3. “Consumer” means any person using eggs for food and\n\nincluding, but not limited to, restaurants, hotels, cafeterias,\n\nhospitals, state institutions, or any other establishment serving\n\nfood to be consumed on the premises. The term “consumer” shall not\n\ninclude the armed forces or any other federal agency or institution\n\nwhere federal egg grade certificates are issued;\n\n4. “Container” means any receptacle or packaging in which eggs\n\nare dispensed to consumers;\n\n5. “Dealer” means any person engaged in the wholesale marketing of\n\neggs. A dealer may also sell eggs to the consumer but shall not be\n\nconsidered a retailer;\n\n6. “Eggs” means raw eggs in the shell that are the product of\n\nthe domesticated chicken or egg products manufactured from raw eggs\n\nand intended for human consumption;\n\n7. “Expiration date” means the date the eggs are to be removed\n\nfrom sale;\n\n8. “Pack-date” means the date that the eggs were placed in the\n\ncontainer;\n\n9. “Packer” means any person who grades or packs eggs for sale\n\nto dealers, retailers, or consumers within the state.
