Stat. tit. 2, § 2-11-91","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma Scrap Metal Dealers Act:\n\n1. \"Aluminum material\" means the metal aluminum or aluminum\n\nalloy or anything made of either aluminum or aluminum alloy, except\n\naluminum beverage cans;\n\n2. \"Copper material\" means the metal copper or copper alloy or\n\nanything made of either copper or copper alloy;\n\n3. \"Department\" means the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture,\n\nFood, and Forestry and its employees, officers and divisions;\n\n4. \"Digital image\" means pixels intended for display on a\n\ncomputer monitor or for transformation into another format, such as\n\na printed page. For purposes of this paragraph, \"pixels\" shall mean\n\nraster-based, two-dimensional, rectangular arrays of static data\n\nelements;\n\n5. \"Exempted seller\" means any person, firm, business or\n\ngovernmental entity that produces or otherwise acquires any scrap\n\nmetal regulated by the provisions of the Oklahoma Scrap Metal\n\nDealers Act in the normal course of business , including, but not\n\nlimited to:\n\na. a mechanical, electrical or plumbing contractor\n\ncurrently licensed to do business in any state,\n\nb. a scrap metal dealer (Standard Industrial\n\nClassification Codes 5051 or 5093), currently licensed\n\npursuant to the provisions of the Oklahoma Scrap Metal\n\nDealers Act,\n\nc. a holder of a current farm-use tax permit,\n\nd. a manufacturer,\n\ne. a distributor,\n\nf. a retailer with a current sales tax permit, or\n\ng. any state-recognized business entity including a\n\ncorporation, limited liability company, partnership,\n\nlimited partnership and sole proprietorship;\n\n6. \"License\" means a scrap metal dealer license;\n\n7. \"Remote storage battery\" means a battery commonly used in\n\ntelecommunications, the oil industry or infrastructure;\n\n8. \"Scrap metal\" means any copper material or aluminum material\n\nor any item listed in subsection C of Section 11-93 of this title,\n\noffered for sale or resale or purchased by any person, firm or\n\nbusiness;\n\n9. \"Scrap metal dealer\" means any person, firm or corporation\n\nbeing an owner, keeper or proprietor of a retail or wholesale\n\nbusiness which buys, sells, salvages, processes or otherwise handles\n\nscrap metal materials regulated by the provisions of the Oklahoma\n\nScrap Metal Dealers Act; and\n\n10. \"Yard\" means the place where any scrap metal dealer stores\n\nscrap metal materials or keeps such materials for purpose of sale.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"ff386483fe426834786f09fa6019c2449d2f8b5eeb95c3f94932b0e5d1bd53ce","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-11-90","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-11-92"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
