Stat. tit. 2, § 2-14-31","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this article:\n\n1. “Correct” means conformance to all applicable requirements\n\nof this article;\n\n2. “Field standard” means the physical standards which are\n\ntraceable to the reference standards through comparisons, using\n\nacceptable laboratory procedures, and used in the enforcement of\n\nweights and measures laws and rules;\n\n3. “National Conference on Weights and Measures, Inc. (NCWM)”\n\nmeans the national professional organization composed of regulatory\n\nofficials, industry representatives, and individuals having an\n\ninterest in weights and measures that develop consensus standards in\n\nareas of weighing and measuring device regulation, commodity\n\nregulation, and administration of regulatory weights and measures\n\nprogram;\n\n4. “National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)”\n\nmeans that subdivision of the United States Department of Commerce\n\nresponsible for maintaining the standard weights and measures of the\n\nUnited States;\n\n5. “Package” means any commodity put up or uniformly wrapped or\n\nsealed in advance of sale in units suitable for either wholesale or\n\nretail sale;\n\n6. “Reference standards” means the physical standards of the\n\nstate which serve as the legal reference from which all other\n\nstandards and weights and measures are derived;\n\n7. “Sale from bulk” means the sale of commodities when the\n\nquantity is determined at the time of sale; and\n\n8. “Weights or measures” means all weights and measures of\n\nevery kind, instruments and devices for weighing and measuring, and\n\nany appliance and accessories associated with any instruments and\n\ndevices. “Weight” used in connection with any commodity means net\n\nweight.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"614fcc3d87247ad86f046ddaada1eccdf285b96c6924cddb92b004acc1428a0f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-14-3","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-14-32"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
