Stat. tit. 2, § 2-14-62","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma Service Technician and Service Agency\n\nAct:\n\n1. “Commercial weighing and measuring device” means any weight\n\nor measure that is used or employed in establishing size, quantity,\n\ngrade, extent, area, measurement of quantities, things, products, or\n\narticles for distribution or consumption which are purchased,\n\noffered or submitted for sale, hire or award, or in computing any\n\nbasic charge or payment for services rendered. The term commercial\n\nweighing and measuring device shall also include any accessory\n\nattached to or used in connection with a weighing or measuring\n\ndevice when the accessory is so designed or installed that its\n\noperation affects, or may affect, the accuracy of the weight or\n\nmeasure;\n\n2. “Placing-in-service report” means a report on a form\n\napproved by the State Board of Agriculture listing the name,\n\naddress, and location of the commercial weight or measure, and\n\ninformation stating in detail what services were performed and\n\nwhether the weight or measure is new or removed from the premises,\n\nthe date the service was performed, and other required information;\n\n3. “Service” means to install, adjust, sell, repair, condition,\n\nrecondition, overhaul, test, or remove from installation, a weight,\n\nmeasure, or weighing or measuring device;\n\n4. “Service agency” means any person who services a weight or\n\nmeasure for hire, award, commission, or any other payment of kind;\n\n5. “Service technician” means any individual who services a\n\nweight or measure for hire, award, commission, or any other payment\n\nof kind; and\n\n6. “Test” means to test a weighing and measuring device\n\naccording to the laws, rules, and the specifications and tolerances\n\nadopted by the National Conference on Weights and Measures and\n\npublished in Handbook 44, “Specifications, Tolerances and Other\n\nTechnical Requirements for Weighing and Measuring Devices”.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"5b883b87aabed9ebf7e5d5a513f6a727aa4b874ec09f97d6934da76a66ecf2c4","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-14-61","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-14-63"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
