Stat. tit. 2, § 2-15-1","heading":"Agricultural fair corporations - Land, buildings and","body":"improvements - Purposes.\n\nA. Agricultural Fair Corporations may:\n\n1. Purchase, hold or lease or otherwise acquire any quantity of\n\nland necessary for their proper operation, with such buildings and\n\nimprovements as may be erected thereon;\n\n2. Sell, lease, or otherwise dispose of such land, buildings\n\nand improvements at their pleasure.\n\nB. Real estate must be held for the purpose of erecting\n\nbuildings and making other improvements thereon, to:\n\n1. Promote and encourage:\n\na. agriculture,\n\nb. horticulture,\n\nc. mechanics,\n\nd. manufacturers,\n\ne. stock raising,\n\nf. 4-H clubs,\n\ng. Future Farmers of America,\n\nh. Home Demonstration Clubs,\n\ni. poultry raising,\n\nj. arts,\n\nk. trades,\n\nl. crafts,\n\nm. hobbies,\n\nn. industry,\n\no. commerce, and\n\np. the general welfare of the people; and\n\n2. Cooperate as may be deemed advisable by the Corporation’s\n\nBoard of Directors with:\n\na. the state and federal agriculture extension\n\norganizations,\n\nb. cooperative marketing associations,\n\nc. livestock and crop improvement associations, and\n\nd. other farm, industrial, commercial or educational\n\norganizations.\n\nR.L. 1910, § 22.
