Stat. tit. 2, § 2-15-119","heading":"Exhibitions, contests and other events","body":"In addition to the powers specified by law, the board of\n\ndirectors shall have the power and authority to provide for during\n\nthe agricultural and industrial exposition and fair or at any other\n\ntime:\n\n1. Exhibitions and contests of speed, athletic skill and other\n\nevents of public and civic interest and benefit, and award suitable\n\nprizes and purses therefor; and\n\n2.
