The county fair association in each county, organized\n\npursuant to Section 15-51 of this title, shall consist of two\n\nmembers in each municipal township, in each county, who are resident\n\nqualified voters in the county and who have been elected at public\n\nmeetings or appointed by the county commissioners as provided\n\npursuant to this section.\n\nB. The county farm agent of any county may, or if there is no\n\nsuch agent, upon petition of fifty resident citizens of the county,\n\nthe county commissioners shall, within thirty (30) days after the\n\nfiling of the petition, call a public meeting in each municipal\n\ntownship, in each such county, for the purpose of electing the two\n\nmembers of the county fair association.\n\nC. The call for the public meeting shall be made by posting\n\nnotices in at least three public places in the township or by both\n\nposting notices and publication in a newspaper of general\n\ncirculation in the county. The notices and publications shall state\n\nthe purpose of the meeting, the time and place of holding the\n\nmeeting. The notices and publication must be made one (1) week\n\nbefore date of the meeting.\n\nD. A chairman and a secretary shall be chosen at each of the\n\nvarious township meetings for the purpose of conducting the public\n\nmeetings and who shall certify to the county commissioners the names\n\nof the two elected members of the county fair association. The\n\ncertificate shall be made to the county commissioners not later than\n\nJune first of the fiscal year in which the township public meetings\n\nare held. If any township or townships in any county fail to hold a\n\npublic meeting for the election of members of the county fair\n\nassociation, the county commissioners of such county shall appoint\n\ntwo members in each of the townships, who shall have the same power\n\nand authority as the elected members.\n\nE. Township public meetings for the election of members of the\n\ncounty fair association may be called at any time prior to June\n\nfirst in any fiscal year.
