Stat. tit. 2, § 2-15-69","heading":"Control of fair and expenditures by board of directors -","body":"Annual budget - Township or district fairs and junior fat stock\n\nshows in certain counties.\n\nA. The board of directors is hereby vested with:\n\n1. Control of the fair;\n\n2. The expenditure of all money levied and collected for the\n\npurpose of conducting the fair; and\n\n3. The power and authority to do all acts and things necessary\n\nin the conduct of the fair and the management of its fiscal affairs.\n\nB. The board shall prepare an annual budget for the fair, which\n\nshall be published according to the law provided for budget\n\npublications. The board shall file the annual budget with the\n\ncounty clerk of each of the member counties.\n\nC. 1. The provisions of this section shall also apply to\n\nlivestock shows, community and district fairs, and other\n\nagricultural shows authorized by the board of directors.\n\n2. In counties having a population of more than fifty-five\n\nthousand (55,000), according to the 1940 Federal Decennial Census\n\nand in and for which county no state fair is provided by statute, it\n\nshall be the duty of the board of directors to:\n\na. hold in addition to the county fair one or more\n\ntownship fairs, and/or district fairs within such\n\ncounty,\n\nb. designate the place and time for holding the fairs,\n\nand\n\nc. hold within such county, in addition to the fairs, a\n\njunior fat stock show with premiums the same as a fair\n\nat an appropriate time during the spring months for\n\nthe purpose of encouraging the youth of such county in\n\nthe breeding and feeding of fat hogs, cattle, sheep\n\nand other livestock.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f2ec742f2b12e7233d3f5775800229e6543503428785aeb243016c5077d70280","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-15-68","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-15-7"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
