Stat. tit. 2, § 2-16-3","heading":"Forestry program - Responsibilities","body":"The State Board of Agriculture shall institute a broad program\n\nof education and action in the protection, reforestation,\n\nharvesting, and wise use of forests and their products throughout\n\nOklahoma under the provisions the Board shall adopt. These\n\nprovisions shall include the need for trees and forests to meet the\n\nincreasing demands for forest products for human consumption, the\n\nnecessity of environmental improvement to filter out noise and dirt,\n\nclean and replenish the atmosphere, to conserve soil, water and\n\nwildlife, and to provide outdoor recreation for healthful living.\n\nThe Board shall administer silviculture best management practices in\n\ncooperation with forestry land users under the provisions of state\n\nand federal water pollution laws that include the process to\n\nidentify silviculturally related nonpoint sources of pollution as\n\ndefined by the Oklahoma Environmental Quality Code and, to the\n\nextent feasible, establish procedures and methods to control these\n\nsources.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d6e967d2ee3f468bbee0a061080327ceba85c7918a59c346b73b9194fd76fc72","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-16-28.3","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-16-30"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
