Stat. tit. 2, § 2-18-404","heading":"Duties of the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food,","body":"and Forestry.\n\nA. The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry\n\nshall consult with the Oklahoma Conservation Commission and the\n\nUnited States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources\n\nConservation Service to establish procedures and standards and\n\noversee the following:\n\n1. The administration of the Eastern Redcedar Directory for\n\nEastern Redcedar trees in the state. Private landowners in the\n\nstate may register the location of their property, the level of\n\ninfestation of Eastern Redcedar trees on the property, and average\n\nsize of the trees on the property. The Department shall develop and\n\nimplement a directory for landowners;\n\n2. Promote the harvesting of Eastern Redcedar trees. Persons\n\nor entities involved in the harvesting of Eastern Redcedar trees or\n\nthe manufacturing of products from Eastern Redcedar trees may\n\nregister with the Department. The Department shall develop and\n\nimplement a directory for harvesters and manufacturers;\n\n3. Promote the development of new uses and markets for Eastern\n\nRedcedar trees and Eastern Redcedar products;\n\n4. Promote marketing, research and education efforts concerning\n\nthe Eastern Redcedar tree and Eastern Redcedar products;\n\n5. Cooperate with any local, state, regional, or nationwide\n\norganization or agency engaged in work or activities consistent with\n\nthe objectives of the Eastern Redcedar Management Act;\n\n6. Assist communities located in any county in the state to\n\norganize and establish community-owned Eastern Redcedar projects in\n\nthe community and to recruit and locate private for-profit Eastern\n\nRedcedar businesses in the community including but not limited to\n\nharvesting operations, biofuel plants, cedar oil manufacturing\n\nfacilities, or other cedar product manufacturing facilities. The\n\nDepartment shall assist in securing financing, infrastructure and\n\nother resources. The Department shall also provide direction and\n\nassistance to the community-based projects and individually owned\n\nbusinesses on steps to take in order to qualify for existing sales\n\ntax credits and income tax credits;\n\n7. Provide a process for the transfer of donated Eastern\n\nRedcedar trees from landowners to harvesters and manufacturers\n\nlisted in the Department's directory; and\n\n8. Take any other actions necessary to implement the Eastern\n\nRedcedar Management Act.\n\nB.
