The State Board of Agriculture shall be the Board of\n\nAgriculture created by Section 31 of Article VI of the Oklahoma\n\nConstitution. The Board shall consist of five (5) members appointed\n\nby the Governor, with the advice and consent of the Senate. Four of\n\nsuch members shall be appointed from within and represent the\n\nagricultural district established by subsection B of this section.\n\nOne member shall be appointed from the state at large.\n\n2. The members shall be farmers who have:\n\na. at least five (5) years practical experience during\n\nthe ten (10) years immediately preceding their\n\nappointment, and\n\nb. lived on and operated a farm after reaching the age of\n\ntwenty-one (21) years.\n\nB. For the purpose of appointments to the Board, four\n\nagricultural districts are hereby created and shall consist of the\n\nfollowing counties:\n\nDISTRICT COUNTIES\n\nNO.\n\nLatimer, LeFlore, Marshall, McCurtain, McIntosh, Muskogee,\n\nOkfuskee, Okmulgee, Pittsburg, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie,\n\nPushmataha, Seminole and Sequoyah.\n\nLogan, Mayes, Noble, Nowata, Oklahoma, Osage, Ottawa,\n\nPawnee, Payne, Rogers, Tulsa, Wagoner and Washington.\n\nGarfield, Grant, Harper, Kingfisher, Major, Roger Mills,\n\nTexas, Woods and Woodward.\n\nCotton, Garvin, Grady, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Jefferson,\n\nKiowa, Love, McClain, Murray, Stephens, Tillman and\n\nWashita.\n\nC. One member of the Board shall be appointed from each\n\ndistrict.\n\nD. 1. On the effective date of this act, each district\n\nestablished by subsection B of this section shall be represented by\n\nthe current board member position as follows:\n\na. the board member position currently representing\n\nDistrict 5 shall represent the new District 1,\n\nb. the board member position currently representing\n\nDistrict 2 shall represent the new District 2,\n\nc. the board member position currently representing\n\nDistrict 1 shall represent the new District 3, and\n\nd. the board member position currently representing\n\nDistrict 4 shall represent the new District 4.\n\n2. The board member position currently serving District 3 shall\n\nbe terminated.\n\n3. Except as otherwise provided in this subsection, all board\n\nmembers serving on the effective date of this act shall serve the\n\nremainder of the term of office to which the board member was\n\noriginally appointed. Thereafter, successor board members shall be\n\nappointed for terms of four (4) years. The at-large member shall\n\nserve a term coterminous with that of the Governor.\n\n4.
