The Commissioner of the State Department of Agriculture may\n\nenter into reciprocal agreements with:\n\n1. A state agriculture agency or corresponding agency of\n\nanother state, or with the person, board, officer, or commission\n\nauthorized to act on behalf of that department or agency having\n\njurisdiction affecting the importation, health, inspection,\n\ninvestigation, control, prevention, and eradication of contagious\n\nand infectious diseases of livestock; and\n\n2. Another state or with the person, board, officer, or\n\ncommission authorized to act on behalf of the other state relating\n\nto theft of livestock and to farming equipment and farm implements.\n\nB. The Commissioner of the State Department of Agriculture\n\nshall, upon the written request of a state agriculture agency or\n\nother corresponding agency of any other state or of any person,\n\nboard, officer, or commission of the state authorized to act for and\n\non behalf of such department or corresponding agency, maintain\n\nactions in the courts of this state upon judgments and demands\n\narising in the other state in the same manner and to the same extent\n\nthat the actions by the Commissioner are authorized when arising in\n\nthis state; provided, however, that the actions may be commenced and\n\nmaintained only in those cases where the other state by appropriate\n\nlegislation or by reciprocal agreement extends a like policy or\n\napproach to cases arising in the state.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f4fd70d3d86f34e7bef9418acc9a6aeece1fde4d5cb3688e6160a54273ee47d5","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-2-4","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-2-4c"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
