The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry,\n\non a form prescribed by the Department, shall establish a voluntary\n\nregistration program. The program shall be available to any of the\n\nfollowing:\n\n1. Any person establishing, maintaining, or locating an apiary\n\nwithin the state;\n\n2. Any person shipping bees into the state; or\n\n3. Migratory beekeepers that transport colonies of bees into\n\nthe state.\n\nB. The Department shall issue to each registrant a registration\n\nidentification number. Any person owning an apiary that does not\n\nregister with the Department shall be required to post personal\n\ncontact information at or near their apiary.\n\nC. All registrants shall pay registration fees as established\n\nby the State Board of Agriculture. Fees shall be paid to the Board\n\nprior to the processing of the registration.\n\nD. The Board shall promulgate rules to establish and administer\n\nthe voluntary registration program.\n\nE. No person shall locate a new apiary within close proximity\n\nto an established apiary if the Department determines that the new\n\napiary presents an imminent danger of spreading bee diseases or\n\npests or interferes with the proper feeding and foraging of an\n\nestablished apiary.\n\nF. If the Department discovers an apiary that does not appear\n\nto have a registration identification number, the Department shall\n\nmake a reasonable effort to locate and notify the beekeeper or\n\nowner.
