There is hereby created the Boll Weevil Eradication Fund.\n\nThe Boll Weevil Eradication Fund shall be administered by the board\n\nof directors for the benefit of the cotton growers in this state to\n\neradicate and ensure the long-term eradication and control of boll\n\nweevils. The Boll Weevil Eradication Fund shall be established and\n\nmaintained in a bank or other depository approved by the\n\nCommissioner.\n\nB. The Boll Weevil Eradication Fund shall consist of:\n\n1. All monies received by the board of directors as proceeds\n\nfrom the assessment imposed pursuant to the Boll Weevil Eradication\n\nAct;\n\n2. Interest attributable to investment of money in the Boll\n\nWeevil Eradication Fund; and\n\n3. Monies received by the board of directors in the form of\n\ngifts, grants, reimbursements, or from any other source designated\n\nby law for deposit to the Boll Weevil Eradication Fund.\n\nC. The monies deposited in the Boll Weevil Eradication Fund,\n\nincluding emergency contingency funding for posteradication\n\ninfestation, shall at no time become monies of the state.\n\nD. Monies in the Boll Weevil Eradication Fund shall only be\n\nexpended for:\n\n1. Implementation and management of the Boll Weevil Eradication\n\nAct; and\n\n2. Costs incurred by the board of directors and the State Board\n\nof Agriculture for the administration of the Boll Weevil Eradication\n\nAct.\n\nE.
