Stat. tit. 2, § 2-4002","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma State University Veterinary Medicine\n\nAuthority Act:\n\n1. \"Academic affiliation agreement\" means an agreement between\n\nthe Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine and an\n\nentity providing facilities, equipment, and support for the\n\nveterinary medicine education programs of the Oklahoma State\n\nUniversity College of Veterinary Medicine;\n\n2. \"Animal patient\" means a large or small animal patient\n\nreceiving care from an Oklahoma State University Veterinary Medicine\n\ntrainee, intern, resident, or full-time or part-time veterinary\n\nmedicine trainer;\n\n3. \"Animal teaching hospital\" means a hospital designated for\n\nthe training and preparation of veterinarians or a component of a\n\nveterinary training program, affiliated with the Oklahoma State\n\nUniversity College of Veterinary Medicine;\n\n4. \"Declaration of necessity\" means an official action of the\n\nOklahoma State University Veterinary Medicine Authority to fulfill\n\nthe terms of an academic affiliation, statutory provisions or other\n\nagreement or to provide facilities, financing or any other general\n\nsupport to enhance the stability, quality or otherwise furtherance\n\nof the veterinary medicine education programs of the Oklahoma State\n\nUniversity College of Veterinary Medicine or to provide for the\n\nsafety of the public related to animal disease and testing; and\n\n5. \"Veterinary medicine programs\" means educational programs\n\nmeeting the guidelines of the American Veterinary Medical\n\nAssociation (AVMA) Council on Education (COE) offered through or as\n\nan extension of Oklahoma State University or the Oklahoma State\n\nUniversity College of Veterinary Medicine in cooperation with an\n\nanimal teaching hospital, animal diagnostic testing center or\n\nclinic, or other animal health care provider.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"0bf2ea083ee260d0c3ef13b30682810d59253273597a2b4b437796fec6ddf221","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-4001","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-4003"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
