Stat. tit. 2, § 2-5-3A.2","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma Farmers Market and Farmers Hub Act:\n\n1. \"Approved\" means conforming to scientific principles,\n\napplicable federal, state and local laws and generally recognized\n\nindustry standards that protect public health;\n\n2. \"Approved source\" means a source that is licensed and\n\ninspected by a recognized regulatory authority and whose license is\n\nin good standing;\n\n3. \"Farm food\" means food made from products grown or raised on\n\na farm including:\n\na. crops,\n\nb. crops grown on trees,\n\nc. crops grown on vines and bushes,\n\nd. livestock, and\n\ne. aquatic goods;\n\n4. \"Farm food producer\" means a person, including family\n\nmembers and employees who grow, raise and harvest agricultural\n\nproducts to the point at which the products are ready for sale;\n\n5. \"Farmers hub\" means a designated area where farm food and\n\nvalue-added products from approved sources are sold on a consignment\n\nbasis for farm food producers;\n\n6. \"Farmers market\" means a designated area where farm food\n\nproducers and value-added processors from a designated region gather\n\non a consistently scheduled basis to sell approved farm food and\n\nvalue-added products from approved sources directly to the\n\npurchaser;\n\n7. \"Farm-direct marketer\" means a farm food producer, value-\n\nadded processor or a designated representative who sells approved\n\nfarm food and value-added products from approved sources by\n\nconsignment;\n\n8. \"Manager or advisory board member\" means the individual\n\nlisted on file with the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food,\n\nand Forestry as the point of contact who is responsible for\n\ncoordination of the farmers market or farmers hub, and is\n\nresponsible for filing of all official documents and all\n\ncommunications with the Department;\n\n9. \"Time/Temperature Control for Safety\" means a food that\n\nrequires time/temperature control for safety to limit pathogenic\n\nmicroorganism growth or toxin formation and which meets all other\n\naspects of the definition of \"Time/Temperature Control for Safety\n\nFood\" pursuant to 310:257-1-2 of the Oklahoma Administrative Code;\n\nand\n\n10. \"Value-added processor\" means a person, including family\n\nmembers and employees, who processes a raw agricultural product into\n\nitems ready for sale, so long as a portion of the finished product\n\nwas grown by the seller or seller's family members or employees.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"bb71aeda62ad5ba2d4366c0824f26c86f52871fc91e64b331b8fbe672c1890d4","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-5-3a.1","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-5-3a.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
