Stat. tit. 2, § 2-5-60.12","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in the Oklahoma Agricultural Commodity Act:\n\n1. \"Agricultural commodity\" means an agricultural commodity,\n\nhorticultural commodity, silvicultural commodity, or agricultural\n\nproduct, horticultural product, viticulture, or silvicultural\n\nproduct, or bees and honey, planting seed, livestock or livestock\n\nproduct, or poultry or poultry product produced in this state,\n\neither in its natural state or as processed by the producer;\n\n2. \"Board\" means an agricultural commodity producers board of a\n\ncertified organization or a successor organization;\n\n3. \"Certified organization\" means the agricultural commodity\n\nentity certified by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food,\n\nand Forestry to conduct a referendum;\n\n4. \"Commissioner\" means the Commissioner of the Oklahoma\n\nDepartment of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry;\n\n5. \"District\" means a geographical area within the jurisdiction\n\nof a board;\n\n6. \"Person\" means an individual, firm, corporation,\n\nassociation, or any other business entity;\n\n7. \"Processor\" means a person who:\n\na. is a purchaser, warehouseman, processor, or other\n\ncommercial handler of an agricultural commodity, or\n\nb. is engaged in the operation of packing, grading,\n\nselling, offering for sale or marketing any\n\nagricultural commodity in commercial quantities as\n\ndefined in a marketing program, who as owner, agent,\n\nor otherwise, ships or causes agricultural commodities\n\nto be shipped;\n\n8. \"Producer\" means a person engaged in the business of\n\nproducing or causing to be produced for commercial purposes an\n\nagricultural commodity. The term \"producer\" includes the owner of a\n\nfarm on which the commodity is produced and the owner's tenant or\n\nsharecropper;\n\n9. \"Successor organization\" means the agricultural commodity\n\nentity approved by the Commissioner of the Oklahoma Department of\n\nAgriculture, Food, and Forestry to succeed an existing statutory\n\ncommodity producers board; and\n\n10. \"Volume of production\" shall be defined by the certified\n\norganization and can refer to units of product sold such as pounds,\n\ntons, bushels, gallons, flats, containers, packages, or other\n\ncommonly recognized units of measure, square footage or acreage of\n\nproduction space or other appropriate measurement units, or number\n\nof production units such as trees, vines, head count of livestock or\n\npoultry, or other commonly recognized measurement units, or gross\n\nsales.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"879514208a7c2bcc0859f9713c0e6d957ae3f3771055b6240e03a7f07365ae97","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-5-60.11","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-5-60.13"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
