Stat. tit. 2, § 2-5-60.15","heading":"Conduction of election and referendum – Eligibility to","body":"vote – Candidates – Write-in votes.\n\nA. Subject to the approval of the Commissioner, the certified\n\norganization shall conduct the election and referendum on a\n\nstatewide basis.\n\nB. A producer of the agricultural commodity is eligible to vote\n\nin the election and referendum if:\n\n1. The producer's production occurs within the state; and\n\n2. The producer would be required under the referendum to pay\n\nthe assessment.\n\nC. Any producer who is eligible to vote at the election and\n\nreferendum is eligible to be a member or a candidate for membership\n\non the commodity producers board.\n\nD. A potential candidate shall file with the certified\n\norganization an application to have the name of such potential\n\ncandidate printed on the ballot. The application shall be signed by\n\nthe candidate and by at least ten producers who are eligible to vote\n\nat the election. The application shall be filed at least thirty\n\n(30) days before the date set for the election.\n\nE. A voter may vote for board members by writing in the name of\n\nany eligible person whose name is not printed on the ballot.\n\nF.
