Stat. tit. 2, § 2-6-190","heading":"Compliance with act - Acts prohibited","body":"No person, firm or corporation shall, with respect to any\n\ncattle, bison, sheep, swine, goats, horses, mules or other equines,\n\nor any carcasses, parts of carcasses, meat or meat food products of\n\nany such animals:\n\n(a) Slaughter any such animals or prepare any such articles\n\nwhich are capable of use as human food at any establishment\n\npreparing such articles for intrastate commerce, except in\n\ncompliance with the requirements of this act. Any person who\n\nviolates the provisions of this paragraph shall, upon conviction, be\n\nguilty of a Class D3 felony offense and shall be punished by\n\nimprisonment as provided for in subsections B through F of Section\n\n20P of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n(b) Slaughter or handle in connection with slaughter any such\n\nanimals in any manner not in accordance with Section 6-183 of this\n\ntitle. Any person who violates the provisions of this paragraph\n\nshall, upon conviction, be guilty of a Class D3 felony offense and\n\nshall be punished by imprisonment as provided for in subsections B\n\nthrough F of Section 20P of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes;\n\n(c) Sell, transport, offer for sale or transportation, or\n\nreceive for transportation, in intrastate commerce, (1) any such\n\narticles which (A) are capable of use as human food, and (B) are\n\nadulterated or misbranded at the time of such sale, transportation,\n\noffer for sale or transportation, or receipt for transportation; or\n\n(2) any articles required to be inspected under Sections 6-181\n\nthrough 6-196 of this title unless they have been so inspected and\n\npassed;\n\n(d) Do, with respect to any such articles which are capable of\n\nuse as human food, any act while they are being transported in\n\nintrastate commerce or held for sale after such transportation,\n\nwhich is intended to cause or has the effect of causing such\n\narticles to be adulterated or misbranded.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"b6a8ec9fb47eae5502117f7f8e85ceacc8b1e99b31dd7abf29f9ac50a1524f7f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-6-189","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-6-191"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
