Stat. tit. 2, § 2-6-201","heading":"Cooperation with Federal Government","body":"(a) The Oklahoma State Board of Agriculture is hereby\n\ndesignated as the state agency which shall be responsible for\n\ncooperating with the Secretary of Agriculture of the United States\n\nunder the provisions of Section 301 of the Federal Meat Inspection\n\nAct and such agency may cooperate with the Secretary of Agriculture\n\nof the United States in developing and administering the meat\n\ninspection program of this state under this act to assure that not\n\nlater than November 15, 1969, its requirements will be at least\n\nequal to those imposed under Titles I and IV of the Federal Meat\n\nInspection Act and in developing and administering the program of\n\nthis state under Section 6-197 et seq. of this title in such a\n\nmanner as will effectuate the purposes of this act and said Federal\n\nAct.\n\n(b) In such cooperative efforts, the Oklahoma State Board of\n\nAgriculture is authorized to accept from said Secretary advisory\n\nassistance in planning and otherwise developing the state program,\n\ntechnical and laboratory assistance and training (including\n\nnecessary curricular and instructional materials and equipment), and\n\nfinancial and other aid for administration of such a program. The\n\nOklahoma State Board of Agriculture is further authorized to spend\n\npublic funds of this state appropriated for administration of this\n\nact.\n\n(c) The Oklahoma State Board of Agriculture is further\n\nauthorized to recommend to the said Secretary of Agriculture such\n\nofficials or employees of this state as the Oklahoma State Board of\n\nAgriculture shall designate, for appointment to the advisory\n\ncommittees provided for in Section 301 of the Federal Meat\n\nInspection Act; and the President of the Oklahoma State Board of\n\nAgriculture shall serve as the representative of the Governor for\n\nconsultation with said Secretary under paragraph (c) of Section 301\n\nof said act, unless the Governor shall select another\n\nrepresentative.","path":["OK Code","Title 2"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os2.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"02fef47589d6a4784caa5547f416e2d8f04d01e09e0c4c2d79ff17212b43e50c","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-6-200","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-2-2-6-202"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
